August 13/14, 2012:
Sam and I had a couple of days discovering the delights of Fort de Soto State Park in Tierra Verde. Not the best time to be in a tent without air-conditioning, especially overnight, but we battled the no-see-ums and the heat, and had a look at the sights that the area has to offer.
Sam's highlight yesterday was a trip to the Dog Beach, of course. He didn't want to come out of the refreshing water! We briefly visited the Fort itself at North Beach, and I got a couple of dolphin and bird shots down at East Beach with the Skyway Bridge as a backdrop.
As you can see, Sam's favorite place was the passenger seat of my car with the A/C running! We're back now with very positive impressions and none the worse for wear!
